Dear participants of PIMUN Ankara’24,

My name is Sahra Maura Kurultay, a 12th grader in my school. I am half Polish and half Turkish and have been enrolled in my school for 7 years. As an active MUN student and the Secretary General of this conference I am more than thrilled to be working with my team to create the first ever conference of our school, Pakistan Embassy International Study Group Ankara.
From my eyes Model United Nations is not just a simulation of the United Nations but an activity that brings people of all ages, ethnicities, genders and opinions together allowing them to get a chance to raise their voices upon issues that concerns the world that we live in. Anything can be accomplished as long as people unite, as long as we unite. To know that I can step into a room at the age that I am and speak upon an issue that concerns thousands or millions of people makes me very proud of myself and those that are there with me to stand up for our rights.
Your enjoyment and participation is significant for both the secretariat and the organization team. We are more than honored to present you PIMUN Ankara 2024. Hope to see you there!

Dear Delegates,

My name is Haseeb Muhammad. As an 11th grader, it brings me great honor to be the Director General of PIMUN 2024 and it is my great pleasure to welcome you to this conference. I am thrilled to see the passion each one of you delegates has for changing the world for the better. As Dag Hammarskjöld said, “The UN wasn’t created to take mankind into paradise, but rather, to save humanity from hell.” However, the unfortunate truth is we as mankind are heading towards hell. The ones who hold the power to steer the direction away from hell are you delegates, our future leaders, who are enthusiastic and want to contribute to all the major world problems. We have worked hard to provide you delegates with a wonderful opportunity to engage in stimulating debates and craft innovative resolutions to change the world. Now it is your job as a delegate to be part of this initiative and engage with a collaborative spirit.

I am eager to see your contribution to PIMUN 2024. We ensure this will be a wonderful conference with the help of the Orga team, but most of all your active participation in the conference. Looking forward to seeing you at PIMUN.
